I have the BPD and ADD and have now been told I may have Bipolar Affective Disorder. My doctor thinks this because I am responding well to Lithium and Venlafaxine and I also because I have had psychotic episodes. I am not sure if I have had a hypermanic episode and if I have it was a while ago. I am also being treated for alcohol abuse.
Sometimes when I drink alcohol I get very hypermanic is this normal, or could it back up the the theory that I have bipolar affective disorder? Or could it be that I drink when I start getting hypermanic and it is just making it worse? Could it be the BPD
