ANSWER:
It’s an official diagnosis, defined by often exhibiting four or more of the following symptoms for at least 6 months: losing temper, arguing with adults, defies rules or adult’s requests, being deliberately annoying, blaming others for his/her misbehavior or mistakes, touch or easily annoyed by others, angry and resentful, and spiteful or vindictive. These symptoms must be causing a significant problem and not occur exclusively due to a mood or psychotic disorder.
It’s is frequently found in children with childhood onset bipolar disorder, severe depression - particularly with psychosis, and severe anxiety disorders - or any combination of the above.
