First off thank you for this site. Secondly, my question : What are the physical dangers or side affects, if any, of quitting Paxil cold turkey? . I've been on 30 mg a day for about a year now.

ANSWER:
All the SSRI's except Prozac can cause a withdrawal syndrome. Symptoms vary but can include headache, nausea, shakiness and malaise. A slow taper is a possibility, although many authorities recommend temporarily switching to Prozac because Prozac doesn't have these withdrawal problems. This is another reason I prefer Prozac to the other SSRI's.
