Q. Five years ago I was diagnosed with bipolar affective disorder preceding a cns stroke caused by vasculitis of the brain. I believe I also have bpd all my relationships have been typical of one with bpd. I am engaged and have never been able to trust. Any suggestions?
A. The suggestion is the same as for everyone - get all your diagnoses made and properly treated.
One thing you might want to research is the effect of Ritalin (methylphenidate) on stroke recovery. There's considerable research on brain recovery increased with Ritalin, particularly after head trauma and with coma.
