Q. I am on Prozac as well as Wellbutrin SR, 150mg, bid. I am 37 and have just recently experienced incontinence - urgency with no warning and then finally losing it at the grocery store in line. My psychiatrist says it is probably not Wellbutrin. My Rheumatoid guy seems to think it is. I have cut back to 1 qd in the meantime, while we try to work this out. What do you think?
A. While anything can do anything, it's unlikely Wellbutrin caused the problem. Assuming a urological evaluation was normal - at a minimum checking for an infection - sometimes going off a medication for a short time and then reinitiating a treatment course can give the answer.
