What Can I Do About My Inability To Ejaculate?
QUESTION:
Dear Dr. Heller,
I have a problem when having sex with my wife where I can't ejaculate. We have sex for an hour and sometime I get off but most of the time I don't. I love having sex with my wife and have a good erection but it seems that no matter what we try it takes forever and she is very upset and so am I. What do I need to do for help. I just don't feel sensitive enough or something.
Please help.
ANSWER:
Anxiety is usually the biggest problem. The
screening test
I use for my patients will likely be very useful to you. Treating anxiety problems can
make a huge difference.
Your physician can check your male hormone levels, but this is unlikely to be helpful.
Treating problems like yours is what sex therapists specialize in, and getting a
consultation in this regard would be wise.
